RACES AT NEWPORT THIS WEEK.

NEWPORT, July 3. -- The yacht racing season of the thirty-footers in Narragansett Bay will begin next week. Last year the boats of Herman B. Duryea and Bayard Thayer of Boston were the largest winners. This season the interest will be centred in the Dorothy and the Veda, owned by Harry Payne Whitney and Cornelius Vanderbilt, Jr.
