LEAD: The Oryx Energy Company has agreed to sell a group of oil and gas interests in Texas, Oklahoma and 10 other states to the Houston-based American Exploration Company for $114 million. A spokesman for Oryx said the properties, which have combined production equivalent to 10,000 barrels of oil a day and proven reserves of 3 million barrels, were among the company's least profitable operations for a variety of reasons.
